  2. Hi all – we just wanted to let you know about some changes coming …

As you will be aware, DoingFlorida is currently spread across two different sites; DoingFlorida.com and DoingFloridaForums.com. We will soon be changing this so that everything will be together under one site; DoingFlorida.com.

The vast majority of our members and visitors already view our daily news on the main DoingFlorida.com site (or via our Facebook page) rather than on the forum. From this week, the daily news will appear only on the main DoingFlorida.com site, and this forum will shortly be closed down. We want to thank all our members for your fantastic support over the past eleven years, it has been great to get to know so many fellow Florida fans! If you would be interested in joining a DoingFlorida Facebook Group please let us know - it would be great to keep the community together - we will start a thread in the Members Forum so you can let us know what you think.

It's the end of an era but the start of a new one and we very much hope you will join us!

Best Wishes from the DoingFlorida Team

International Drives newest attraction, Starflyer, was due to open early May but this has now been reviewed and instead has an opening date of June 1st.

Once open Starflyer will take riders up 450 feet above International Drive which is even higher than the nearby Coca-Cola Orlando Eye. Riders will hang in swings which spin around the huge centre tower at 60mph. Starflyer is located at the Vue 360 complex on International Drive south of the intersection of I-Drive and Sand Lake Road, near I-Drive 360 home to the Orlando Eye. There are big plans for the opening day with the celebrations beginning at 2pm.

Me neither. I went on one in lightwater valley 2 years ago with Freddie and felt dizzy and sick for the rest of the day. And it was a lot smaller than that one.
