  2. Hi all – we just wanted to let you know about some changes coming …

As you will be aware, DoingFlorida is currently spread across two different sites; DoingFlorida.com and DoingFloridaForums.com. We will soon be changing this so that everything will be together under one site; DoingFlorida.com.

The vast majority of our members and visitors already view our daily news on the main DoingFlorida.com site (or via our Facebook page) rather than on the forum. From this week, the daily news will appear only on the main DoingFlorida.com site, and this forum will shortly be closed down. We want to thank all our members for your fantastic support over the past eleven years, it has been great to get to know so many fellow Florida fans! If you would be interested in joining a DoingFlorida Facebook Group please let us know - it would be great to keep the community together - we will start a thread in the Members Forum so you can let us know what you think.

It's the end of an era but the start of a new one and we very much hope you will join us!

Best Wishes from the DoingFlorida Team

Have any of you ever done the
Dinner package for this , its a meal in an epcot restaurant with guaranteed seats for the show and a preffared viewing area for the fireworks, is the show good and where did you eat.?

We haven't done the dinner package but the show is excellent. Dinner might be a good idea to avoid the huge queues. It's a very popular show, always very busy. We are planning to go when Whoopi Goldberg is the narrator.

I would consider the dinner package if ever there at Xmas again just to guarantee we get in. A coupe of years ago the queue was huge, and when we eventually got to the end of it a cast member told us that we probably wouldn't even get in to the final show (there were 3 performances and we thought we had got there in plenty of time for first one!). We listened from outside the restaurant in America, huge crowds and an amazing atmosphere!

We've done the dinner package a couple of times. It does mean that you (oh and many many others) get a seat at a particular showing.

the only down side I found was that dinner was really early. For instance, we went to the 6:45 showing and our dinner was at 3:30

It's a really lovely show. The late showing does seem to have fewer attendees, so go for that one if you don't want to do the package

Last year we also got preferred viewing for illuminations if you bought the package.
