Disney World has been sending out surveys to guests who have stayed at the resorts asking about how being charged a resort fee would affect their decision to stay at a Disney Resort! A $15 per night resort fee is mentioned that would cover Disney's Magical Express, MagicBands, FastPass, Resort entertainment, WiFi, Extra Magic Hours and parking. This is all free at the moment so would definitely put us off if they started charging $15 a night!:eek::mad:

    us too.
Sounds like pure greed on Disney's part ! :(
They obviously don't think they're making enough profit......which is ridiculous !

They are fast losing the Walt ethos and will be losing guests at a fast rate if they carry on the way they are going. $15 per night is a ridiculous amount on top of what you already pay.

they will shoot themselves in the foot if they arent careful, but dont all the resorts charge a resort fee ? its usually already taken care of if you book a package from uk. but if you book direct then they add it on there. and is the $15 per night for the room or per person ?

I'm a big fan of staying onsite, but you are already paying a premium for doing so. I think this is a step too far, I would certainly consider staying elsewhere when this comes in.

Not really surprised, a lot of the hotels in LBV charge a resort charge, BUT I think that any hotel that wants to add this charge, why not just include in the hotel costs anyway? I wish they all would do that, then nobody would be annoyed when they got a bill at the end of the holiday.

I said that to Jo. Why not just put the prices up and let you think you are still getting the freebies! Bit of a con but lot of people would fall for it.

Absolutely. I never understand this because it creates such bad feeling. Just include the price to start with. Don't tell me it's $100 a night and then hand me a bigger bill at the end of my stay. Don't take away cheese and crackers to save costs....just add the pennies to the price.
Although holiday packages include resort fees, you can bet the overall price will go up. It's not like Virgin are going to get the rooms without the resort fee. Greed. Disney are spending a lot of money on new theme park areas and this is one of the ways of ensuring we pay for it.
