  2. Hi all – we just wanted to let you know about some changes coming …

As you will be aware, DoingFlorida is currently spread across two different sites; DoingFlorida.com and DoingFloridaForums.com. We will soon be changing this so that everything will be together under one site; DoingFlorida.com.

The vast majority of our members and visitors already view our daily news on the main DoingFlorida.com site (or via our Facebook page) rather than on the forum. From this week, the daily news will appear only on the main DoingFlorida.com site, and this forum will shortly be closed down. We want to thank all our members for your fantastic support over the past eleven years, it has been great to get to know so many fellow Florida fans! If you would be interested in joining a DoingFlorida Facebook Group please let us know - it would be great to keep the community together - we will start a thread in the Members Forum so you can let us know what you think.

It's the end of an era but the start of a new one and we very much hope you will join us!

Best Wishes from the DoingFlorida Team

Last year Disney announced the Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood was to be replaced by a brand new attraction called Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

This will be Disney’s first Mickey-themed ride-through attraction and is opening in 2019. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will feature a new catchy theme song created especially for the attraction as well as a new experience that defies logic that Disney is calling 2 ½-D. No glasses required.

On the attraction, the fun begins when guests will see the premiere of a new cartoon short with Mickey and Minnie getting ready for a picnic. As they head out, they drive alongside a train and find out that the engineer is Goofy. Then, one magical moment takes guests into the movie and on Goofy’s train for a wacky, wild ride.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway will put riders inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short where anything can happen. The teams helping create the attraction are currently working with partners at Disney Television Animation—the people who create the popular and award-winning Mickey Shorts – to keep the characters and story authentic and to make sure you’re able to step through the movie screen and join Mickey and his friends like never before.
