High blood pressure

    Woah.....need to get my blood pressure down. Don't know if it is all the stress at work right now but if it doesn't come down by mid week I will make an appointment for the nurse.

    Any tips on lowering blood pressure.....have this week off for the Easter break so that may help

    Sorry to hear that Cassie. Try thinking of your favourite day in Busch gardens with your favourite lions and imagine your there again that might help. Thinking of my favourite place and imagining I’m back there always helps for me.

    Oh no Cassie. Assuming you have taken your own blood pressure but probably best to go and get yourself checked out anyway. My job stresses me out all the time so I know how you feel. If it's stress related then Jen's idea to take yourself to a happy place is perfect. TaiChi is good, practice some mindfulness and have a look at this link which I have found really helpful.

    I also use EFT - emotional freedoms technique or Tapping. Check out 'The tapping solution' on Google set up by Nick Ortner. Hope you feel better soon.

    Thank you.....that is EXACTLY what I was thinking of while at nurses this morning when she told me to think of something nice!
    However....pressure even higher. Dr appointment in two days to see what they are going to do. Have been told to relax, watch TV / read a book....basically do as little as possible til then

    Relaxation/meditation/mindfulness.
    Cut down on salt. Avoid liquorice.
    Exercise.
    Try not to worry about it as that will make it worse! And if they give you medication, take it at a regular time.
