Orlando International Airport is making it easier for visitors to reduce waste when going through security and save money at the same time. It’s very easy to head over to the security checkpoints at the airport with a bottle of water in your hand or in your bag.

The bottle and its contents would normally have to be thrown away meaning an expensive bottled water would then be bought again at the gate. Facilities provided at the airport allows passengers to empty then keep their empty water bottles pre-security at specially designated areas just before entering the line. The empty bottle can then be taken through security and filled again at special bottle filling stations with filtered water which are available on every gate wing near the water fountains.
